wolf tattoo designs, tattoo, tattoos, wolf tattoo, wolf tattoos, wolf, wolves, wolves tattoo, wolves tattoos
Wolf Tattoo Designs - The wolf is a powerful mythological and spiritual symbol in many cultures around the world, due to it's widespread distribution across North America, Europe and Asia. Modern dogs are descendants of Asian wolves and the relationships between man and wolves goes back at least forty thousand years.

Wolves were predatory competitors with early man and wolves symbolized ferocity, cunning, stealth, cruelty and even evil - but because of their close-knit pack behaviour wolves also represented loyalty, courage, fidelity and victory. The tendency of wolves to hunt at dusk and dawn and to communicate by howling at night in many cases caused wolves to be associated with the spirit or shadow world, shape-shifters and malevolent or evil spirits. They symbolized fear of the night, darkness, and even demonic possession. At the same tine men could not help but admire the skill and success of the wolf pack.

In Celtic myth, the sun is devoured by a wolf. In the Norse myths, the giant wolf Fenrir is central to the apocalyptic end of Asgard, the home of the Viking Gods, a symbol of chaos who swallows the sun at the end of the world. Chinese tradition also portrays the wolf as rapacious and a symbol of lechery. There are several myths of wolves in India, including one that Ghengis Khan was descended from one.

At the same time, in Norse legend the wolf is sacred to Odin, and to the God Apollo in Greece. The Romans venerated the wolf, because of the legend of the founders of Rome, Romulus and Remus, being suckled by a she-wolf after being abandoned. The Roman God of War, Mars held the wolf sacred and to spot one before a battle was an omen of victory.

In North America the wolf is often seen as a teacher figure, a shape-shifter who mentored Shamans and a dancer symbol. Among the Shoshone, the wolf was a creator figure.

In early Christianity, Christ's symbolization as the Good Shepherd, who protects his flock, the Faithful, from predation, made the Wolf a potent symbol of Satan.

tattoo books quality printing north augusta south carolina art
I have been to several places to have my tattoo books made and found out that it is hard to find a place that is good at what they do. Most places just want your money and they take 4-ever to get things done and then over charge you for it and most of them are not friendly. I have finally found the right place to get all of my books made, "Quality Printing". They are located here in North Augusta SC. It is a family ran business which i think is the best part and they get the job done in a day or just minutes. They actually talk to you when you come in and make you feel at home. They also understand the importance of old art so you can trust leaving your art with them without worrying if it will get damaged. So to all of my tattoo fans here in the local area, go to Quality Printing to get your copies made.

coleman eddie peace cap tattoo machines waters jonesey

This is a left handed Coleman machine that my grandfather "Eddie Peace" got from Cap Coleman when they worked together in the 40's. The machine still runs and has all of the original parts on it except for 1 washer. This machine has been stored away in my grandfathers old workshop for probably around 40 years or more until i recently cleaned out the shed and found a 3 gallon bucket that was filled almost half way with old machines, it was like winning the lottery but better. All of the machines will stay in the family except for a few that we sacraficed to some of our good friends. There were all sorts of machines from several Coleman's to a lot of Waters and Jonesey and there are still some that we have that no one has been able to indentify.

butterly, tattoos, tattoo, dragonfly, dragonfly tattoos, dragonfly tattoo, dragonflies, dragonflies, tattoos for girls
Dragonfly Tattoos - The dragonfly, like the fairy and butterfly tattoo is an extremely popular tattoo design for women. The design can be a small sexy secret or a large tribute to the wild and free spirit that the dragonfly represents. The dragonfly is the power of light. The dragonfly inhabits two realms: air and water and passes the influence of both these elements to the wearer.

The image of the dragonfly sparks the creative power of the imagination. Living in an aura of fantasy, the dragonfly's fluttering wings inspire thoughts of fairies and butterflies; bubbles and snowflakes. They flit from flower to flower, from tree to tree; settling on dew-kissed leaves and grass. Within sight yet always out of reach, the dragonfly has buzzed itself into the tattoo culture. Dragonfly tattoo designs are landing everywhere -on arms, chests, hips and tailbones!

Now, instead of capturing these enchanting creatures in glass jars or nets, many people have decided to eternally capture them on containers of flesh. Blue, green, or violet; pink, silver or golden; the dragonfly has proven itself a deserving addition to the world of body art.

Dragonflies lend themselves to so many other thought, ideas and associations that its pretty much futile to limit the possibilities for a dragonfly tattoo design. Any color you like would be appropriate: silver, gold, emerald green, sky blue, grey, lavender, you name it. They can appear on ankles, thighs, backsides, lower backs, shoulders, armbands and breasts.

Additionally, dragonflies certainly aten't limited to women! In Native American astrology, there is a strong belief that each person has a totem animal spirit which serves as their guardians and guides through certain phases of life. Often, an individual would have many different totems throughout life, some for just a time, some for their entire lives. And one of these totem spirits was the spirit of the dragonfly. It would adopt men and women, young and old. The dragonfly spirit means you must consciously make an effort to express your hopes, dreams, needs and wishes.
The dragonfly spirit is the essence of the winds of change, the messages of wisdom and enlightenment; and the communication from the elemental world. Its medicine beckons you to seek out the parts of your habits which need changing. You can turn to the dragonfly to guide you through the mists of illusion to the pathway of transformation.
Is the dragonfly spirit beckoning to you?

For everyone that has a tattoo or for those that don't,,,,,you have the average married male/female that walks into a grocery store or the local drug store to buy some razors and shaving cream but he or she is really there to buy a lubricant like ky or astroglide and the first thing they always look at is who is working the register,,face it for a fact people,,80% of the people that go to the store to but condoms or a lubricant are shy and won't but it unless there is a an old lady checking you out,,that old lady knows moe than you think, when she scans that bottle of ky or whatever,, in the back of her head she is looking at you saying,"Damn,Little Do You Know",,but with a smile onher face".
Just the other day, i was in a main grocery store here where i live and noticed that this dude walked in behind me that had tatts all over him like i do but he looked like he was in a hurry. He went down the canned good isle and then worked his way to the other side of the store. He ended up being right in front of me when he checked out and had a can of ravioli, beef stew, and a frozen pack of fish along with a 24 pack of rubbers and a bottle of KY. It was pretty obvious that he was there to buy stuff for himself and his wife since he did have a wedding band on so why should he be shy about buying condoms and lubricants,,afterall,,he was all inked up..? Don't be shy

I noticed that in Doug's blog that the history of the Eagle is a must know.
Some people look at the Eagle as a large bird that hovers above us all, and they do have excellent vision so they see things how they are.
Then you have the people that think the Eagle is the perfect tattoo and they don't even know anything about an Eagle, "It Is Another Tattoo Legend", The "Screaming Eagle", was and still is a tattoo/design that lots of people still get. From the early 90's to the late 90's i saw it all. People were getting old shcool traditional designs and then it went to skeletons and bones and then came the tribal then the traditional style went down hill.
Now the traditional style has came back into the new world that Earth has become,,"History Repeats Itself"
And speaking of Eagles, I my self don't know a damn thing about an Eagle except that they fly and have good vision,,but i don't have one needled in me for life. The Eagle is a well known military tattoo and as well as the average Joe that wants an eagle on his arm.
The way i look at it is that if you have a design of anything on you then atleast know the facts about it. 95% of the people that have an Eagle tattooed on them can't tell you anything about one,,"how high can they fly?" Where do they nest"? And so forth.
The Eagle will always be a must get tattoo for many people and that's that,,like "pinups" people will always want them and then comes the tribal art. We were all young and then we grew up going through changes in life kind of like when you wre a kid,,"take me to mcd's or bking to eat mommy" now it is, "lets go to the steak house". What it comes down to is that our kids and their kids will keep the tattoo style going.
They have the glow in the dark ink out now and that is something that i would never get put in me. It always takes several years before all of the scientists freaks find out the down falls of certain products and i think that that stuff will probably be at the top of the list of them all. Before to long they will have color changing ink from shade to light and that is when the tattoo industry will boom with the younger crowds, they will want a tattoo just because it will change colors or glow in the dark,,then after about a year afterwards, they will regret it and will probably have cancer or some kind of messed up something from what's in the ink.
You probably dont think that your 12 or 15 or whatever year old son/daughter is thinking about getting a tattoo but they are and there are kds out there that will ink a tattoo on someone just to be cool for the first time and then that persons tattoo looks like total crap from the start to finish. Dude probably bought a cheap China machine of the internet for 40 bucks and then realized that the needles and tube didn't come with the deal so he ordered some even cheaper needles and then put a tattoo on you.
Think about a tattoo b4 you get it for life and learn the history of what you are getting,,"It Will Be On Ypu For life"

july 4th wasted hang over beer music tattoo cars drunk drivers cops
Ok, it is finally the big 4th of July when all the crowds of people go out to get wasted and have a good time then have a hang over all day Sunday! What i don't get is why people would rather go to a bar and pay about 5 bucks for a beer that will be flat by the time you finish it. Why not go to the store and buy a couple of cases and drink at your house with some cool music playing? Then you would have enough money left over to get a tattoo on Monday!
I will be chilling here with several friends playing or doing whatever, you damn sure won't find me out driving around in a car with all of the drunk drivers that will be out tonight. Road blocks and cops all weekend looking for people like that so watch out or they might get you!
Hope all has a happy 4th and many more to come!

I got my first tattoo when i was 15 years old of a Grateful Dead bear with the ring of roses around it on my back shoulder blade and in the same year got another on my other shoulder blade of an evil looking sun then came the really big clown on the center of my back. I don't regret getting them but i wished that back then i would have taken better care of my skin from the sun. They are all now faded, mostly from sun damage and then the rest is just 'Tattoo Age".
I was going to get the Guns "n" Roses design on my arm and i didn't, that is the only one that if i did get back then that i would still like to have on me since gnr is still one of my good ole jamin bands.
The way i look at it for a first timer or a first timer youngster is to really think about what you are going to have in your skin and on your body for the rest of your life, after all, you will always grow up out of the lifestyle that you once had but your tattoo will always resemble who you are and were.
Getting a name of a woman tattooed on you is very risky, what happens when you split up? You have to live with it or pay more money to get it covered up properly to where it looks like it was never there. Sure, if you get a gals name tattooed on your arm then it would be less to have a design to cover it up but if you get a large design tattooed on you with a name then you can either have the name blacked out which would look like crap or you could cover the whole tattoo up with something that would cost 30 times more than what you paid for the name. So be sure to stop and think about what you are getting before you get it.
